The Cherry Blossom Festival begins March 20th through April 14th!
Interested in checking out the famed blossoms? The National Park Service announced that peak bloom will occur approximately April 8 – 12, 2014.
Enjoy strolling around the Capital Grounds or the Washington Monument with some company, plan a bike tour of the Tidal Basin near the West Potomac Park, or get caught up in the Lantern Walk hosted for free by the National Park Service.
You can purchase tickets to the National Cherry Blossom Festival Opening Ceremony, National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade West End Between 15th & 17th Street, and you can even get your jam on at the Cherry Blast, which is sure to be amazing.
For those who want to sample a taste of Japan’s culture, purchase tickets to try authentic Japanese teas and treats, or enjoy Japanese art exhibits and programs for the kids at the Smithsonian for free.
Whatever you do, get out there and enjoy the beautiful blossoms that people from all over the world seek to admire.
